Sparkling love

"A real love is rock solid", says Joanna

Joanna Floribus was walking across the street from her work when something sparkled and caught her eyes.

It was a LOVE rock! Here are the beautiful words that came from her heart:

"How unique and perfectly timed. There are times in your life when you are disillusioned with love, you think that it's not worth it or it's not for you, or maybe you are just not capable.

A real love is rock solid, and it takes some real hard work to get there. And then just like that you can happen on it at the most perfect times... just like this rock I discovered.
Absolutely made my dayI will be placing a couple in some very special locations.
Thank you!"

London, London

Word rocks at Abbey Road
A few weeks ago, Berê, my good friend from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, made me a promise while sharing her vacation plans with me: to place a rock at Abbey Road in London, England.

And she did it! This morning I received some pictures and I was overjoyed to realize that a rock was placed nearby the road immortalized by the Beatles on the Abbey Road album.

Tomorrow she is heading to Paris, France and, guess what, she'll place a rock there too!

"It made my day!"

"I love the idea!"

Kate, 10 years old, was so happy when she found JOY rock at Vons in Torrey Hills.  At first she was kind of confused but then her mom _ who had already read about our project on the newspaper (here) _ explained what it was all about.  "I was so happy and it made my day. Who finds a rock with words on it everyday?! I hadn't even heard about the project and my mom explained it to me. I LOVE the idea!

And Kate really loved the idea. Now she is preparing rocks in partnership with us. Way to go, Kate!

Word Rocks in Portugal !

Word Rocks on the Portuguese news

In 1500, a portuguese explorer and navigator, Pedro Álvares Cabral, arrived in my warm Brazil. One of our legacies from this fact is we're the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese instead of Spanish. So it was a pleasure to be interviewed by Publico, a Portuguese daily national newspaper. If you want to check the online article click here.

Word Rocks in Philippines

Never mind rock

In Brazil there is a very popular sentence that means "who has friends has luck".
Our amazing friends Joel and Monica were in Philippines last week and left some of our rocks at the beautiful beaches there.
Thanks, guys! We are lucky to have you as friends here in San Diego!
You rock!

Love is here to stay

Love solid as a rock

The perfect word at the perfect time. I'm really touched by Diana's love story. And I'm very, very glad that she found the LOVE rock as a reminder that soon she and her beloved will be reunited again.

"Hi,
It was Friday afternoon (Jan, 27th), and I was feeling very bad. So I went to the Torrey Hills complex and found a rock that says LOVE. The Friday before, Raymond and I were at the same place together. Time to say farewell. I cried while he lovingly held me in his arms. I know that we are so in love to each other, but we need to wait!
When I found the rock I was really happy. I thought it was a special message meaning that our love will be solid as a rock .
Thank you for you for this beautiful rock. I will treasure it and hope it will give me good luck!
Maybe I need another a rock that says: waiting!
Diana"
